Bunny Games 2014!

Hello, Ozimals friends!

Summer is here, and with it, the return of the Bunny Games! We'll be starting everything this Wednesday, June 18, but we're telling you about it in advance in case you have questions or need to register for Ozaria--this way you have plenty of time!

Ozimals Bunny Games 2014

We're doing the Bunny Games differently this year; it's set up more like sports playoff brackets. To achieve this, the number of race groups--like teams in the playoffs--is necessarily limited, and admission will be first come, first serve. There will be a total of 64 players, divided into 16 initial groups, with 4 players in each group. So! Make sure you understand what you need to do to participate!

You will, obviously, need to be registered on Ozaria to sign up for a race group. If you want to participate but haven't registered--it's free!--don't put it off until the last minute.

On Wednesday at 2:00 pm SLT, registration will open. You will need to either create a race group with three of your friends, or join an already created group.

To create a race group, you will log in to Ozaria, view your profile, click "Bunny Games" in the left-hand menu, and "Create Group". When you create a group, you'll need a name for your race group and a 256x256 thumbnail image to represent it, and the site will ask you to pick a team representing a region of Oz. You cannot go back and add/change these once the group is created, so plan ahead!

If you create a group and it is not full within 48 hours, it will be deleted, so it's best to make advance plans with the other people you'd like in your race group! (The group creator has no special advantages in the races, just so you know.)

What does "full" mean? Three other people need to join, so that the total number in the group is four.

How does one join an already existing group? Log into Ozaria, view your profile, click "Bunny Games" in the left-hand menu, then the button labeled "Search Groups", and find the group you want to join. Group creators will have approval rights, so joining a group of strangers at random is probably unwise--make sure you are joining the correct group, as we will be unable to make edits or rearrange group rosters once they are set!

Please note that "three other people" means three other people--not your alts. If we see you using alts, you will be disqualified. You may only play as ONE avatar in ONE race group!

Once there are sixteen groups of four people each--four groups for each of the four regions of Oz--registration will close. If any group fails to fill up, or the group creator fails to approve all members, by Friday, June 20th at 2:00 pm SLT, we'll delete that group and re-open registration to fill that space, making announcements in the inworld groups.

So, what happens once groups are set? The first round of races is the Quarterfinals, and the members of each group will race their bunnies against each other using an Ozimals Bunny Race track. Each group creator will have a ladder key, a special code to give the track before the race so that the winner's information goes to the Ozimals Bunny Games database.

The very first race each race group runs once the code has been entered is the race that will count, and all race group members must have a bunny in that race.

The sixteen winners of these races will go on to represent their race groups in their regional groups, who will race against each other in the next round: the Semifinals. The Semifinals will produce four regional champions, who will race against each other in the Finals.

There will be prizes for the winners at all levels, including:
Quarterfinals winners: exclusive elite bunny created solely for this event!
Semifinals winners: exclusive elite bunny created solely for this event, plus winners’ choice of one of two sets of Summer Blockbuster gacha bunnies!
Finals winner: exclusive elite bunny created solely for this event, plus both sets of Summer Blockbuster gacha bunnies! Additionally, the members of this winner’s original race group will all receive the exclusive elite.
