Hallows' Eve Bunny Bingo & Costume Contest!

Hello, Ozimals friends!

We hope all of you are enjoying this year's Hallows' Eve goodies, including the Pufflings' new Ultraviolet color and the shortened bunny nest kindling time in addition to the elite bunnies and the mask gacha! We're so excited to see everything you have shared in the Ozimals Flickr group!

On Sunday afternoon, October 26th, at 2:00 pm SLT, we'll be hosting Hallows' Eve Bunny Bingo at the Emerald City on Magic of Oz. As always, it is free to play, with spooky Ozimals prizes! The number of rounds we play, and thus the number of chances to win, will depend on how many players are in attendance, so we hope you'll join us to celebrate Hallows' Eve!

In the spirit of the season, we'll also be giving prizes for Best Costumes among our Bingo players. We'll post reminders about Bingo as we get closer, but we're announcing it now so you have plenty of time to plan some creepy and/or hilarious disguises!

Bunny Update 3.2

Hello, Ozimals friends!

Tricks and treats are a part of Hallows' Eve, and unfortunately the bunnies themselves have played a trick on us. We are releasing a mandatory update today: Bunny Update 3.2.

Here's some important information about the problem in 3.1, so that rumors and misinformation do not have a chance to spread:

Some nests from 3.1 bunnies will display hovertext similar to this:

Fur: ? Unknown ?
Eyes: Light Lavender
Ears: Half-a-Lop
Shade: Moonlight
Mother's Generation: 15

If kindled, these nests will produce white, "blank" bunnies--though they will have the correct eye texture. These bunnies' text will look similar to this:

Size: 1
Eyes: Dark Lavender
Ears: Half-a-Lop
Shade: Classic

The *good* news is that these bunnies' missing furs are new 3.1 furs. The bunny "knows" what fur he has, the parent who gave that bunny the fur "knows" what fur it is, and the 3.2 update will not change that information--it will simply make the bunny capable of DISPLAYING his or her new fur. Again, the bunnies' genetics will not change with the 3.2 update, but the fur will show on the updated bunny, and the name of the fur will show in both the updated bunny's text and the text of future nests.

As is always true, you cannot update bunny nests, and must update the bunny born from that nest.

All starter packs and the Nightmare Pair packs on store shelves and on Marketplace have been updated to contain 3.2 nests.

We know that unexpected updates can be a hassle, and we're sorry to have to do one this week. As a thank-you, we have included some treats--an exclusive copiable, transferable Mask Potion in the update box, AND decreased kindling time for 3.2 nests (to fifteen minutes).

Important: Update 3.2 is a mandatory update. What this means is that your bunnies will stop eating immediately if not updated, and each food you have rezzed out will message you once a day to remind you to update. If your bunnies are not updated to 3.2, they will not be able to breed with updated or new bunnies. Remember, a bunny takes 72 hours to go from 0% hunger to 100% and hibernation, so you have three days to update... just don't forget!

If your bunnies do hibernate all you need to do is give them food, wait 24 hours for them to come out of hibernation, and then use the 3.2 updater.

If you have any questions about the 3.2 update, please ask in one of the inworld chat groups, or use the pagers at the shop to page a CSR--we'll be happy to clarify any confusion!

For more information about current bunny goodness, please check out the Bunny Update 3.1 post.

****************IMPORTANT NOTES****************

Please check that you restore bonds, reset home near food and reprice if you had bunnies set for sale.

2.  If your update totem gets stuck on a bunny (after 5 minutes, it hasn't completed)  please TAKE THE CRATE into your inventory and delete the white bunny underneath.  Copy the crate prim description number.  File a support ticket ( ) and include that crate number for a replacement bunny.  Do not delete the crate until you receive your replacement bunny.

Once you pick up the crate and delete the white bunny, your update totem should move on to the next bunny in range.

The food does NOT get updated itself; it only communicates to you the need to update your bunnies. PLEASE NOTE!! You do NOT need to buy new food!  Once you update your bunnies, they will eat any recent version of food just fine.

2. Prepare your update area:
A.  Designate an "update area" someplace on the land you own.
B.  Rez your updater at the center of the update area.

C. It is important to only rez ONE updater!D.  Pick up ALL third party scripted products (monitors, dispensers, servers, rings, etc.) and any other heavily scripted items in the area. These items can slow down or even prevent the update process from beginning or completing correctly. This is VERY IMPORTANT.

3. Update your bunnies:
    A.  Turn bunny movement off. Take a moment to record the bunny's ID if you do not already have it recorded.
    B.  Pick up your bunnies one at a time (do NOT pick up in a group!)
    C.  Rez up to 10 bunnies in your update area. The updater affects bunnies within a 9m radius (18 m circle with totem in center)
    D.  There will be a short delay before the updater begins; please be patient! :)
    E.  The bunnies will update one by one. A crate will appear over them and the process will be shown in hovertext above the box.
    F.  When all updates are completed, remove the updated bunnies from the update area, and put down the  next 10 un-updated bunnies.
    G.  Continue this process until your entire warren is updated.
    H.  After the update is completed,  RE-REZ ALL YOUR FOOD so it will detect that the bunnies have been updated. If you use any dispenser or server system, you need to remove the food from those systems and rerezz them.

2014 Hallows' Eve Bunny Mask Gacha!

Hello, Ozimals friends!

We hope you are enjoying the treats in Bunny Update 3.1! If you missed Monday's post, give it a look for all of the information you'll need! Please check out the Ozimals Flickr pool for some great pics of the new elites, as well as older bunnies gearing up to celebrate Hallows' Eve in their new masks.

Do you wish you had MORE mask options? Read on...

Today we're introducing the 2014 Hallows' Eve Mask Gacha!

2014 Hallows' Eve Bunny Mask Gacha key!

Gachas, if you're curious, are like gumball machines: you pay a low price and receive a random prize, available only for a limited time through these machines!

Each machine has twelve "common" masks. Each one of these has five charges. Additionally, there is one RARE mask, a design different from any of the commons--and it has TEN charges.

It is important to note that the bunnies pictured are not included--the machine sells masks to go on YOUR bunnies! You can use Mask Potions on ANY version 3.1 bunny.

Each Mask Potion has a set number of charges, just like a Nest Dye. Rez the potion on or near the bunny you'd like to mask, and follow the menu prompts! Remember to pick up the bottle once the bunny has his or her mask on, so that you can use the rest of the charges.

Masks can be removed by using the "Unmask" button in the "Config" menu when you click your bunny. Masks will NOT persist through updates; if you want it to stay Halloween year-round, you'll have to re-apply masks each time you update your bunnies.

You can play the Gachas at both the Ozimals Main Store and the Ozimals Satellite Shop at Shamrock Market!
