New Ears & Eyes! GET ends! Bingo!

Hello, Ozimals friends!

It's so exciting to see new genetic traits begin to show up out there--and extra special thanks to those of you who have posted pics of limited-edition eyes from the Caravan bunnies to the Ozimals Flickr group!

Flared Ears!

Congratulations to Min Ixtab, who was the first to find the secret new trait hidden in the rare Caravan bunnies... Flared Ears! This is the first new ear since Airplane in 2011, and we can't wait to see it with all of your favorite bunny combinations.

Remember, the Caravan gacha bunnies - and the Caravan limited edition foods, with their free mask sets - will only be available through the end of July...!

Ozimals Bunny Bingo will be held this Saturday, July 18, at 2:00 pm SLT, next door to the Emerald City on Magic of Oz. It's fun, it's free, and you can win some great Caravan prizes from Ozimals--we hope to see you there! We'll post reminders and slurls in the inworld groups, too.

In Pufflings news, Golden Egg Time, introducing the new genetic trait, Summer, ended today, though the new eye, Hibiscus, remains available from starter eggs. Some of you have already bred some fantastic-looking Summer Pufflings, and we've been thrilled to see them on Flickr!

Happy breeding, and much <3

Caravan Limited Edition Foods and Bunny Masks!

Hello, Ozimals friends!

We're eager to see the Caravan gacha bunnies have their first babies next week, and we hope all of you are, too! While we wait, though, we'd promised additional Caravan fun: here's everything you need to know about today's new releases!

These special treats will be available through the end of July, at the following locations:

Ozimals Bunny Main Store
Ozimals Puffling Main Store
Ozimals Satellite Store @ Shamrock Marketplace

Caravan Limited-Edition Foods

Caravan Limited-Edition Foods will feed bunnies or Pufflings, and work just like normal Omni foods. Each food consists of one or more fancy cakes, full of fruit and nuts and other good things for bunnies, covered with the sort of sugary frosting that delights Pufflings... and a rustic decorated pitcher of refreshing, delicious sangria, full of fruit and perfect for celebrating Summer!

For more information about the different food levels, please see the Ozimals wiki! Caravan foods are available in the following sizes and levels:

Caravan Limited-Edition Food: Level 1 / Pet
Level 1 / Pet Food: for non-breeding bunnies and Pufflings. Caravan Level 1 food is available as a single food, a breeder pack of ten single foods, or an epic food (one food with the same amount of servings as ten single foods).

Caravan Limited-Edition Food: Level 2 / Standard
Level 2 / Standard Food: for breeding bunnies and Pufflings. Caravan Level 2 food is available as a single food, a breeder pack of ten single foods, or an epic food (one food with the same amount of servings as ten single foods).

Caravan Limited-Edition Food: Level 3 / Archetype
Level 3 / Archetype Food: for breeding bunnies and Pufflings; gives boosts to stats and allows bunnies to progress towards becoming a Matriarch or Patriarch. Caravan Level 3 food is available as a single food, a breeder pack of ten single foods, or an epic food (one food with the same amount of servings as ten single foods).

Caravan Bunny Masks

Each pack of Caravan food also includes a set of transferable masks for your bunnies!

Laurie models one of the Caravan bunny masks!
Bunny Masks are a fun way to change the look of your favorite bunnies. Each Mask Potion has a set number of charges, just like a Nest Dye. Rez the potion on or near the bunny you'd like to mask, and follow the menu prompts! Remember to pick up the bottle once the bunny has his or her mask on, so that you can use the rest of the charges.

Masks can be removed by using the "Unmask" button in the "Config" menu when you click your bunny. Masks will NOT persist through updates.

These Caravan masks will cover the actual eye color of your bunny, but will not affect the bunny's breeding genetics. There are eight different designs, with five charges each, packed in every box of Caravan limited-edition food, no matter the food level or type! These masks are transferable, so you can trade them with your friends!

We hope you and your pets enjoy all of these summer treats!

Ozimals Bunny Update 3.6!

Hello, Ozimals friends!

Welcome to Bunny Update 3.6! Please read these notes carefully before you begin updating!

Ozimals Bunny Update 3.6

Update 3.6 is a non-mandatory update. What this means is that your bunnies will continue eating for two weeks without being updated, though each food you have rezzed out will message you once a day to remind you to update. If your bunnies are not updated to 3.6, they will not be able to breed with updated or new bunnies. Remember, a bunny takes 72 hours to go from 0% hunger to 100% and hibernation, so you have two weeks plus three days to update... just don't forget!

If your bunnies do hibernate, all you need to do is give them food, wait 24 hours for them to come out of hibernation, and then use the 3.6 updater.

All nests in the Bunnybury vendor will be updated to 3.6 on update day. The Bunnybury Exclusive Nest bunny is not changing for this update.

Caravan Summer Bunny Gacha

Every summer, bunnies from the remotest reaches of the Land of Oz travel to the Emerald City for an enormous summer market and festival. All manner of exotic goods are bought, sold, and traded, and there are parties, food, and dancing as the Emerald City welcomes these crowds of mysterious travelers. We've chosen to celebrate summer this year by introducing some of these bunnies to you in the Caravan Summer Bunny Gacha!

Gachas, if you're curious, are like gumball machines: you pay a low price--L$50--and receive a random prize, available only for a limited time through these machines!

This year, there are two gacha machines, split by gender. There are a total of sixteen elite bunnies--eight male and eight female. Each gender has six "common" bunnies and two "rare" bunnies. All of these nests have unlocked shades and ears, which means that your gacha bunny can have any currently available shade or ear type, rather than the limited set usually available to starters.

All of the bunnies in the machines have a chance of carrying any of a set of limited edition eyes. These eyes are limited edition and restricted to these bunnies; any Caravan bunny with the eyes can of course pass them to his or her offspring, but once the gachas are gone, the eyes will not be available from any future starter nests.

The four "rare" bunnies--two males and two females--have the same chance as all of the Caravan bunnies for the limited edition eyes. However, the rare bunnies have brought us a surprise--they are introducing one more hidden trait for us! Each rare bunny has a chance of carrying this secret genetic trait; it will be added to starter nests in the Hallows' Eve update this autumn, but until then, it is exclusive to the rare Caravan bunnies.

There is an additional rare item - not a bunny - in both gacha machines.

Gachas will be available at the Ozimals Bunny Main Store and the Ozimals Satellite Shop at Shamrock Market through Friday, July 31st.

* Retired Eyes

To vastly improve breeders' chances at getting the limited-edition eyes exclusive to the Caravan bunnies, we have retired a long list of eyes. Remember, being "retired" only means that these will no longer be available from "starter" bunnies--those purchased from Ozimals (Warren Packs, Pair Packs, and Pet Packs, from the Ozimals Bunny Main Store, the Ozimals Satellite Shop at Shamrock Market, or the Second Life Marketplace)--any bunny who is already carrying these eyes will still have them, and will still be able to pass them to his or her descendants.

The eyes that have been newly retired as of update 3.6 are: Vapor, Caramel, Cupcake, Grape, Jute, Kelp, Olive, Pict, Slate, Sunburst, Steel, Bourbon, Reign, Pheasant, Kirlian, Periwinkle, Visitor, Iolite, Xocoatl, Luzula, Shrubbery, Caribe, Starless, Passion, Naranja, and Epiphany.

* Ozimals Bunny Bingo!

We will be holding some Ozimals Bunny Bingo games this summer--if you've never played before, it is free and fun, with fantastic prizes from Ozimals! Watch group notices and the blog; we'll be announcing times and dates for Bingo, as well as further Caravan surprises, very soon.

****************IMPORTANT NOTES****************

Please check that you restore bonds, reset home near food and reprice if you had bunnies set for sale.

2.  If your update totem gets stuck on a bunny (after 5 minutes, it hasn't completed)  please TAKE THE CRATE into your inventory and delete the white bunny underneath.  Copy the crate prim description number.  File a support ticket ( ) and include that crate number for a replacement bunny.  Do not delete the crate until you receive your replacement bunny.

Once you pick up the crate and delete the white bunny, your update totem should move on to the next bunny in range.

The food does NOT get updated itself; it only communicates to you the need to update your bunnies. PLEASE NOTE!! You do NOT need to buy new food!  Once you update your bunnies, they will eat any recent version of food just fine.

2. Prepare your update area:

A.  Designate an "update area" someplace on the land you own.
B.  Rez your updater at the center of the update area.

C. It is important to only rez ONE updater!
D.  Pick up ALL third party scripted products (monitors, dispensers, servers, rings, etc.) and any other heavily scripted items in the area. These items can slow down or even prevent the update process from beginning or completing correctly. This is VERY IMPORTANT.

3. Update your bunnies:
    A.  Turn bunny movement off. Take a moment to record the bunny's ID if you do not already have it recorded.
    B.  Pick up your bunnies one at a time (do NOT pick up in a group!)
    C.  Rez up to 10 bunnies in your update area. The updater affects bunnies within a 9m radius (18 m circle with totem in center)
    D.  There will be a short delay before the updater begins; please be patient! :)
    E.  The bunnies will update one by one. A crate will appear over them and the process will be shown in hovertext above the box.
    F.  When all updates are completed, remove the updated bunnies from the update area, and put down the  next 10 un-updated bunnies.
    G.  Continue this process until your entire warren is updated.
    H.  After the update is completed,  RE-REZ ALL YOUR FOOD so it will detect that the bunnies have been updated. If you use any dispenser or server system, you need to remove the food from those systems and rerezz them.
